PHOTOS, SECURITY & PHONE USAGE

When bringing in inspiration photos, please be advised that your hair may not turn out exactly as pictured. The lovely world of the internet is filled with photoshopped photos.  Please choose photos that match your own hair type, texture, and your lifestyle. Our stylists will have a proper consultation with you to discuss your desired look and what it will take to achieve similar results.


Please take this time to look at our Communication Policy.

AMBRA Beauty loves to show off our work. We may take before and after photos. Know that upon stepping foot into the salon, you may be photographed. If you do not wish to be photographed, please let the staff know.  You as a client have the right to refuse photos being taken, even though we would be sad. If you do not tell us prior to starting to serve you, AMBRA Beauty holds the right to use any and all photos on our website, advertisements, and social media forums.


If you love our work, please share the photos and tell us that we can tag you in them on social media.


Please note that all personnel and clients entering and leaving the premises are recorded on a surveillance camera which records movement in the reception area only.  These recordings are the property of AMBRA Beauty and will only be used to show to authorities if requested to do so.  They serve as protection for our staff and guests and are only reviewed in case of need.


No cameras are present in the salon in any treatment or waiting area, only the reception area is monitored.


We kindly request that guests' mobile phones are switched to silent or airplane mode during their visit and that headphones are used where absolutely necessary and practical.  We know that life continues outside the salon but for our guests' tranquility please show consideration when using such devices.



REFUNDS & RETURNS

AMBRA Beauty STRICTLY ENFORCES THIS POLICY.   By accepting our services you accept to be bound by these terms and conditions.


AMBRA Beauty does not offer monetary refunds on services rendered.  No stylist, management employee, or other employee is authorized to give monetary refunds in any circumstance. Salon Credit via a Gift Certificate can only be given upon express authorisation by managemen.  Gift Certificates unless expressly detailed otherwise, will have a validity of 30 days.


We do have a 7-day policy in place on services in which a client can come back and have corrections made. It will be at no additional cost if the error was made by the stylist.  Additional costs will only occur if it is a correction based off error in communication by the client or a major change is needed at no fault of the stylist or guest.  Corrections may be performed by the original stylist or another stylist.


Product refunds will only be given for defective or damaged products. Used products are non-refundable and will only be taken back for salon credit or exchange pending management approval.

PRICING & DISCOUNTS

Online pricing is only a starting point. Prices are subject to change without notice. If you have specific questions on pricing, please inquire prior to being served. For most services, we are able to give close estimates only, not definite amounts.


Pricing at AMBRA Beauty is based on the experience of the stylist, the average amount of time it takes to perform the desired service, products used to complete the service and the level of skill required to perform the service. Prices listed for hair related services may be increased based on length, density, and /or preparation work performed by our staff, and if additional time or product are needed to perform the service.

No double discounts will be accepted.


No employee is authorized to give a discount for bribery or by their own personal sense of kindness. Any discounts outside the realm of monthly specials or advertisements must only be authorized by the owner or management.

CHILDREN & GUESTS

Our waiting area is located on the salon floor so please be courteous to other guests in the salon while you wait.


If bringing guests or family to an appointment, please be advised that we reserve the right to ask guests or families to wait outside the salon or that they come back and return after the appointment is finished.   Particularly when the salon is very busy.

We ask that accompanying children be monitored and supervised at all times.  Any of the AMBRA Beauty staff have the right to refuse service, reprimand children, and charge for any damage.  AMBRA Beauty has professional treatment equipment, and several open rooms where children could be in danger if not properly watched by parents or guardian.  AMBRA Beauty will not be liable for any injuries if this policy is not abided by.

PERSONAL ITEMS

AMBRA Beauty staff will always ensure that you experience a safe and secure environment but we can not accept liability for lost or stolen items.  Please ensure you keep items of value by your side or in view at all times.


The salon can be a busy environment and staff can not take responsibility for safeguarding valuables.

COMMUNICATION

AMBRA Beauty prides itself in the quality of its work. Your stylist will always make a proper consultation but sometimes we forget to ask important questions especially when you are a repeat guest. New guests, know that we do not judge, and it is of the utmost importance that you are honest about the past services received both professionally and at home, or if there is any health issue we should be made aware of.


We ask that you keep a few things in mind and realize some factors will affect the outcome of your service. It is important to inform and be honest with your stylist.

  • We kindly ask that you advise us of any illness, injury or changes to your health status prior to any services to be conducted.  Medications and health issues may lead to unexpected or unwanted results during and after a number of services we offer.

​

  • Please advise us if you have any allergies and/or sensitivities of any kind. We do not wish for you to experience side effects. Our products are carefully chosen and we pay particular attention to sensitivities. However, this still does not guarantee that you will not experience a reaction.

​

  • Be honest with your stylist about previous chemical services of any kind. If you had highlights 2 years ago and your hair is down to your waist then that chemical still exists, and we need to know.  Again, we do not judge. In order to meet expectations and to ensure proper integrity, we need to be aware of the good, the bad, and the really not good at all.... 

​

  • If you color your hair at home, we need to know.  At-home color can sometimes cause unwanted results and we need to be prepared.  Let us know what brand you use as well, as some are more dangerous than others.

​

  • Acne drugs may thin the skin. Please let us know if you are using any or using retinol as this may result in skin damage. 


  • Please tell us if you have undergone any surgeries within the last 2 years. 

​

  • Do not be embarrassed to share any details of your health or past treatments.

​

  • If you do not fully comprehend the consultation or price quote, don't hesitate to ask again. We will be more than glad to go over it one more time.

​

  • If you are not happy with your results, please give us time to rectify the situation. Please refer to policies above.
